Julie Farr
Director of Finance & Operations
Julie joined Challenge Partners in 2024 as a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience in finance and operational leadership. A Cambridge University graduate, she trained at BDO Stoy Hayward in London and has developed a broad professional track record across several industries, notably venture capital-backed biotech firms, London Stock Exchange-listed PLCs and national membership bodies.
Her background includes guiding organisations through periods of change, with a focus on business integration, fundraising, and international expansion. Her previous senior leadership and advisory roles include work for Series A biotech firms, the Police ICT Company and the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners.
At Challenge Partners, Julie’s remit covers the charity's financial health and statutory compliance, alongside leading the IT, HR, and Legal functions. In her role overseeing Governance and Risk, she ensures the organisation’s infrastructure is secure and compliant. This approach supports Challenge Partners in remaining a resilient partner to the schools and trusts we serve, ensuring resources are managed to support pupils across England.
